The Assistant Director, ICT Strategy and Shared Services plays a key leadership role in shaping and delivering the Agency's ICT direction. This position drives strategic ICT initiatives, oversees governance and planning processes, and ensures technology architecture supports long-term business goals. The role provides high-level advice on ICT matters, contributes to enterprise-wide decision-making, and leads the development of forward work plans, prioritisation frameworks, and performance reporting. This role works closely with the Shared Services Manager to coordinate and enhance ICT services delivered by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C), including service agreements, escalations, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: support the development, review and maintenance of the Agency's ICT Strategy to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and Agency priorities including the Branch plan assist in implementing governance frameworks and strategic planning processes that guide priorities, investment decisions and delivery of strategic initiatives provide high-quality advice and analysis to inform project planning, evaluate new initiatives, and drive process improvements work closely with the Shared Services Manager to coordinate ICT service delivery with the shared services provider, ensuring services are reliable, secure, and meet agreed performance standards contribute to the management and evolution of the Agency's enterprise architecture to ensure the ICT environment is secure, scalable and able to support current and future business needs support ICT improvement initiatives by applying secure-by-design and risk-aware principles, and monitoring risks, issues, and interdependencies prepare ICT-related committee papers, executive briefings, and performance reports, including the use of metrics and KPIs to track outcomes engage with stakeholders across technical, policy, and regional contexts to support alignment of ICT initiatives with Agency priorities and promote inclusive collaboration.
