The ICT, Data and Systems Branch, at the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA), is looking for a motivated ICT Portfolio Manager to lead transformative ICT initiatives that support our mission to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As the ICT Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how ICT projects are delivered across the agency. You will lead the development of portfolio management practices, streamline project intake through our new ICT Front Door, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities. You will also serve as a Scrum Master for selected agile projects, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and removing impediments to ensure teams stay focused and productive. Your responsibilities will include: designing and implementing ICT portfolio management processes, tools, and standards maintaining the ICT Portfolio Register and ensuring data accuracy and transparency coordinating with project leads and business units to validate and report on portfolio data supporting governance forums with timely documentation and insights promoting continuous improvement and fostering cross-agency collaboration acting as the central point of contact for ICT portfolio-related queries facilitating agile ceremonies and supporting agile delivery teams as Scrum Master. The key duties of the position include We are seeking a candidate who brings both technical expertise and strategic vision. Our ideal candidate will have: demonstrated experience in ICT portfolio, program and/or project management within a complex organisation strong understanding of portfolio governance, reporting, and lifecycle management excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills proven ability to develop and implement business processes and systems familiarity with project, program and portfolio management methodologies (such as PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK, MSP, MoP) experience setting up service intake or front door mechanisms (highly desirable) proficiency in M365 tools such as SharePoint, Planner, and Lists. Tertiary qualifications in ICT, Business, Project Management, or a related field is desirable. Relevant certifications (PMP, MSP, MoP, Agile, ITIL) are advantageous.
