As a member of the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing team, your focus will be to contribute to the Department's commitment to providing and maintaining a culture for a safe, healthy, and supportive work environment. In addition, the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing team fosters current practices that are supported by a commitment from the leadership team, and a collaborative effort from all individuals within the Department to create a safe and healthy environment. These practices are also informed by workplace policies that promote psychological safety. This role provides significant support and advice to Community Correction management teams to promote and embed a safety culture across the service and assists with the implementation and review of the QCS Health Safety and Wellbeing framework. The essential requirements for this role include: Knowledge, you will have sound knowledge and proven experience in work health and safety systems and delivery within a complex and large community environment. You will apply this knowledge to achieve improved safety and wellbeing outcomes for Queensland Corrective Services. Communication, you will communicate with influence and with the utmost respect to all people at all times, demonstrating awareness for the different information needs of others. You will value difference and collaborate, balancing the needs of all stakeholders and service delivery outcomes. * Building enduring relationships, you will communicate in a clear and considered manner and encourage respectful expression of ideas and opinions.
