About the Opportunity As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be at the forefront of project delivery, responsible for the full lifecycle management of major civil projects. Reporting to senior management, you'll provide hands-on leadership and strategic oversight, ensuring that every project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will take ownership of everything from pre-contract negotiations to final close-out, managing people, processes, and finances with a sharp focus on commercial success and compliance. Your work will span both the Adelaide metro area and key regional sites, presenting a diverse range of challenges and opportunities. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Leadership: Oversee project progress, making high-level adjustments to staffing and resources to align with business goals. Commercial & Contract Management: Lead contracts management, from RFI and variation approvals to negotiations and subcontractor performance. Team Leadership: Provide visible, hands-on leadership, mentoring your team to ensure project objectives and company values are met. Financial & Risk Management: Control project costs, monitor productivity, and implement risk mitigation plans to maintain positive cash flow and ensure project integrity. Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior external clients and all project stakeholders. What You Will Bring To be successful in this role, you will possess: A minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in major construction and infrastructure project delivery, preferably in civil engineering. A recognised degree in an engineering discipline or a related tertiary qualification. Extensive experience in major project contract administration and management. In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards, Health and Safety legislation, and defence compliance. Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems, and project management platforms.
