We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to work in the Slaughter Floor and the Offal Room of our state-of-the-art meat processing facility. Reporting to the Plant Quality Assurance Manager, the positions main focus will be implementing effective and efficient quality assurance systems in the manufacturing facility as well as assisting with various Quality Assurance tasks and projects. Some of the key responsibilities of the position include: Enforce quality standards, perform the necessary checks and provide immediate feedback Conduct internal audits on the quality system Perform pre-operational hygiene checks Daily reporting as required Working closely with production supervisors, employees and site management to ensure conformance to company standards and specifications Daily GMP checks and report on breaches Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives Monitor HACCP Assist in micro sampling, micro swabbing, etc. Assisting Quality Assurance team members with ad hoc duties as required The successful candidate will have: Experience in a meat processing facility Experienced Ausmeat Quality Assurance practitioner highly desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload If this sounds like an opportunity that interests you, then please submit a copy of your resume, outlining your current skills and experience.
