EXPERIENCED ELECTRICIAN WANTED Managed Solutions is an Ipswich-based Technology Company with one of our teams providing electrical and data installation and maintenance services to business clients – and we need another electrician to join us. Our core business is based in Ipswich, with small business and commercial customers from Toowoomba to the Gold Coast and Brisbane City. We pride ourselves on our friendly, reliable & efficient customer service. We have been providing service to our clients for over 25 years and continue to grow. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Full of energy and ready to go, you should have current qualifications – able to undertake electrical work, structured cabling, fibre - or be willing to be trained and obtain the qualifications. You should be clean, well-presented, and able to communicate and speak clearly. Our relationship with our customers is based on our customer service focus, and we build strong relationships with customers and each other. We expect you will be proud of the work you produce; you are clean and tidy on the job and have a problem-solving attitude to your work. You will be comfortable using computers and tablet devices – our systems are all online, and many of the technologies that you will help install are computer-related. You are energetic, safety-focused, and have a happy and positive attitude. We view this as a permanent full-time position. ABOUT THE ROLE: In addition to normal work function, you would be required to keep workshop and vehicles in good order. The working days are Monday-Friday. You may be required to work slightly longer days on occasion to get the job done with time off in lieu (TOIL) or penalty rates for overtime. We rarely do weekend work, but occasionally, it may be necessary. We cover the following areas of work within the Infrastructure Team: Commercial Installation, Maintenance & Repairs covering electrical and data Domestic Maintenance & Repairs (minimal) Periodic Testing (RCDs, Emergency Lights, Test Tagging) Switchboard & Meter Box Upgrades Split System Air Conditioning Installation Infrastructure Installation for: Structured CAT6/CAT6A Data Cabling Optical Fibre Audio Visual - MATV, Distributed Audio and Paging Systems Security Cabling - Access Control, Alarms and CCTV YOU MUST HAVE / BE ABLE TO: Current Qld Electrical Fitter Mechanic License White Card and First Aid Current Driver's License Able to pass Police Check and Blue Card Able to read fluently, write legibly and comfortably use a computer Your own hand tools Manage stock of vehicle Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders Ability to work autonomously, on your own initiative and productively in a team environment PREFER Open cabler with structured cabling endorsement and experience WHAT WE OFFER YOU: We believe we offer excellent working conditions and a competitive pay rate – based on your experience and what you can bring to us.
