Cancer Council WA recognises the difficulty patients living in regional areas may experience getting to medical treatment centres. We provide a Volunteer Transport Program to assist people to access specified treatment centres. Volunteer drivers are integral to the provision of this service and drive Cancer Council vehicles to safely transport patients to and from medical appointments. This is an ideal volunteer role for someone with the skills and motivation to provide supportive care to cancer patients, their families and carers. This supportive care program will operate from Dots Place in Peel (Mandurah). We are currently seeking drivers who are available on Monday or Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm. As with all Cancer Council volunteer roles, you will be joining our team in the fight against cancer and making a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer. With a Reflection RAP, and a commitment to closing the gap we encourage Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidates to apply.
