The opportunityWe are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (8 years clinical experience) to join our medico-legal team. This role suits clinicians from rehabilitation, community, hospital, or specialist practice who enjoy complex assessment, structured reasoning, and high-quality report writing. Key responsibilitiesUndertake independent, client-centred functional assessments (primarily in home settings)Review medical and allied health information to inform clinical reasoningPrepare clear, evidence-based reports addressing equipment, treatment, care needs, and support hoursLiaise professionally with referrers, clients, and multidisciplinary stakeholdersMaintain timely documentation, quality standards, and confidentiality requirements(Occasional) court attendance as an expert witness About youMinimum 8 years post-graduate clinical experience (adult rehab, community, hospital, or specialist practice)Strong functional assessment skills and confident clinical reasoningExcellent written communication with demonstrated report-writing capabilityProfessional, reliable, and able to manage your schedule and caseloadComfortable travelling for assessments (mainly across Greater Sydney)Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insuranceDriver’s licence and reliable transport What we offerStructured onboarding and targeted medico-legal trainingWorking from homeCompetitive remuneration aligned to senior experience and report outputSupportive peer review and quality assurance processesOpportunities for professional growth in medico-legal practice Location and travelMost work is within the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area.
