About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Planning and Performance Lead to join our dedicated team. This key leadership role will support Council's strategic planning, performance reporting and business improvement functions. As the Corporate Planning and Performance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment, embedding and ongoing facilitation of an integrated corporate planning and performance framework. You will help drive strategic alignment, monitor performance, and enable evidence based decision making to ensure effective delivery of organisational objectives and community outcomes. Regular travel including to and from Cairns and throughout the Torres Strait islands is a requirement of this position. What We're Looking For We need someone who shares our values of One, Respect, Accountability, Courage, and Resilience. The ideal candidate will have: Graduate qualification in business administration, law, human resources, or related discipline and/or significant experience in integrated corporate planning, strategy, and performance. Demonstrated knowledge of integrated strategy, planning and performance practices (including strategic, corporate and business planning, KPI development, performance management). Strong communication, consultative, interpersonal, and negotiating skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team and management teams strategically and operationally. Proven experience preparing reports and papers for executive-level audiences. Initiative and ability to manage time and workload effectively. High levels of personal integrity and ethics in contemporary management practices. Advanced skills in business-related software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, report visualisation tools, digital collaboration tools).
