We’re seeking a Senior Technician – Audio Visual to join our Programming and Presenter Services team. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AV professional to step into a leadership position, supporting the Technical Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Audio-Visual Department. As a Senior Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering world-class technical services across all HOTA venues. From supporting touring productions and exhibitions to leading our in-house team, you’ll ensure our AV systems are operating at the highest standard and help shape the future of our technical operations. What you’ll do: • Support and mentor Audio staff, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional delivery of services. • Operate and manage complex Audio and vision systems across multiple venues for performances, exhibitions, and events. • Collaborate with clients, production teams, and visiting operators to achieve outstanding Audio outcomes. • Assist in the maintenance, testing, and equipment readiness, contributing to asset renewal planning. • Deliver training, inductions, and ongoing development for staff and crew. • Assist with planning, documentation, and development of Audio & vision operational procedures. • Maintain strong client and supplier relationships while supporting a collaborative technical team. • Provide cross-departmental support across lighting, staging, and rigging when required to the best of your abilities. What we’re looking for: • Proven experience operating and maintaining Audio and vision systems in a live events, performing arts, or entertainment environment. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and mentor technical staff. • A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. • Sound knowledge of Audio and vision equipment, industry standards, and safe work practices. • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, in line with event requirements.
