About the Role The Cook/Food Attendant (commonly referred to on campus as the Junior School Cook) plays a key role in preparing and delivering healthy, age-appropriate meals for Junior College students. This includes organising and preparing morning tea and lunch orders, providing catering for after school care, supporting basic kitchen prep, and ensuring all food safety and quality standards are met. To be successful in this role, you will bring: Experience in food preparation, ideally within a school, childcare, or café environment. A current Food Safety Handling Certification. Basic computer skills, including email and point-of-sale systems. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A keen eye for detail, with high standards for presentation, hygiene, and quality. A friendly, approachable nature and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
