The Opportunities We are currently recruiting for multiple chef positions across Stamford Plaza Brisbane, including our Kabuki Teppanyaki Restaurant and our Hotel Kitchen operations: Head Chef – Teppanyaki | Salary: $95,000 - $99,000 superannuation Sous Chef – Teppanyaki | Salary: $78,000 - $80,000 superannuation Chef de Partie – Teppanyaki | Salary: $77,000 - $78,000 superannuation Demi Chef – Teppanyaki | Salary: $75,000 - $77,000 superannuation Demi Chef – Hotel Kitchen | Salary: $75,000 - $77,000 superannuation These roles are critical in delivering exceptional dining experiences within both our premium Teppanyaki restaurant and our luxury hotel kitchen. Key Responsibilities (may vary by position) Prepare and present dishes to the highest culinary standards, with a focus on Teppanyaki artistry for Kabuki roles. Deliver engaging Teppanyaki performances that combine precision cooking with guest interaction. Lead, train, and mentor junior chefs, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency across kitchen operations. Support menu planning, seasonal reviews, and guest feedback initiatives. Monitor food quality, stock control, portioning, and cost management. Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and WHS standards at all times. Contribute to hotel-wide banquets, events, and special functions as required. Skills & Experience Required Demonstrated experience in a similar chef role within a premium dining, luxury hotel, or high-volume restaurant environment. For Teppanyaki roles: Proven expertise in Teppanyaki showmanship, guest engagement, and authentic Japanese cooking techniques. For Hotel Kitchen Demi Chef role: Experience in hot and cold kitchen production, events, banquets and à la carte service. Certificate in Food Safety Handling or willingness to obtain. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with flexibility across evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
