We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to join the Management Reporting and Internal Budgets team to lead and deliver high-quality management reporting within the Department of Veterans' Affairs. The key duties of the position include Develop, maintain, and deliver high-quality end-of-month financial reports for the Executive Board to support decision-making. Work closely with finance business partners to provide meaningful analysis and insights on financial results at the whole-of-department level. Review and improve current end-of-month reporting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Provide strategic financial advice to the CFO, divisions, and the Executive Board on key financial and business issues. Play a key role in the roll-out of a new financial management information system, with a focus on improving management reporting. Contribute to the mid-year and annual internal budget setting processes. Prepare a range of written materials including reports, ministerial briefs, and department submissions. Lead, manage, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of clear communication, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
