We currently have an exciting opening in our Operations Department for a Maintenance Controller. This role is ideal for those who want to use their automotive expertise in a more strategic, office-based environment – helping clients manage their vehicles, plant and equipment efficiently and cost-effectively. You'll join a supportive and experienced Maintenance Team that’s committed to your development – whether you're just starting out or looking to take the next step in your career. ABOUT THE ROLE Taking calls from suppliers, discussing repair needs, and approving costs for maintenance work. Managing and updating maintenance records in our internal systems. Providing advice to clients and colleagues on running costs, repair options, and general maintenance. Coordinating with repairers and manufacturers to minimise downtime and control costs. Following up on outstanding supplier invoices. In this role, you’ll be central to ensuring our clients' vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard, with accurate records for reporting and analysis. We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds. You could be: A recently qualified mechanic or technician looking to grow your career beyond the workshop, or An experienced service advisor, technician, or workshop controller looking for a new challenge in a more customer-facing and analytical role. Desired Skills and Experience WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED To be considered you will ideally demonstrate: A good understanding of vehicle repair processes and general mechanical knowledge. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. A customer-first mindset and willingness to go above and beyond. A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Confidence using computer systems (Word and Outlook) – experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a bonus. Availability to work full-time across a flexible shift pattern between 5:00am – 4:30pm (WST), Monday to Friday .
