Job Info Location: PERTH, WA Salary: Not Specified Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description On behalf of our client, we are looking for full-time experienced Maintenance Diesel Fitters. The Maintenance Diesel Fitter is responsible for safety completing repairs, maintenance and diagnostics for heavy mobile earthmoving equipment. Required to use a variety of hand and power tools to assist with maintaining specialised equipment in order to achieve maximum equipment availability and minimise downtime. The daily duties and responsibilities include: Carry out mechanical diagnostics, services, component change outs and repairs in workshop and/or field. Diagnose and repair hydraulics systems. Carry out servicing and breakdown repairs in the field, where required. General workshop duties as required. Work with the client, Supervisor and direct team to maintain plant and equipment as per manufacturers recommendations and training. Assess, identify and notify Supervisor of any technical issues. Abide by all client policies, procedures, site specific rules and guidelines as advised by Supervisor, signage and induction process including wearing appropriate PPE. Attend and participate in relevant site safety meetings and daily pre-starts, as required. Ensure you attend work fit for duty, maintain currency of medicals, attend required medical reviews and appointments, advise Supervisor if you are stressed, fatigued, sick or adversely affected by drugs or alcohol. Education – Trade qualifications as a Diesel Fitter or equivalent mechanical trade or at least 3 years of relevant experience in substitute of formal qualification Experience & Skills Proven ability with fault finding, preventative maintenance and diagnostics Experience with preventative maintenance of mobile plant and equipment. 12 months post trade experience (preferable). Possess and renew industry qualifications (e.g. Standard 11 or White Card).
