Kelly Partners are on the hunt for a Senior Legal Counsel who’s a gun in execution, thrives under pressure, and brings a sharp commercial lens to everything they touch. Someone with a solid lean toward M&A and corporate work, but who’s also a true all-rounder, unafraid to get hands-on with whatever needs doing. You're smart (of course!), commercially switched on, and you know how to prioritise what actually matters. You can confidently run a transaction, jump into a negotiation, or gut-check a commercial contract — all before lunch. What You’ll Be Doing Drive M&A and strategic deals — from due diligence and structuring to negotiation and execution. You’ll own it end-to-end. Be the legal brain of the business — partnering closely with senior leadership across finance, people, operations and our partners in the accounting business. Handle the day-to-day, without fuss — contracts (bread and butter!), governance, data, risk… you’re across it all and don’t drop the ball. Balance risk and pragmatism — you know when to push, when to pivot, and when “good enough” is perfect. Manage and work with external legal counsel (as required) — but you're not afraid to back your own judgment. What You Bring to the Table 6–10 years’ post-qualified experience, ideally in house in a start up to established business! A strong grounding in M&A, corporate, or transactional work — you’ve led deals and kept your cool when it gets intense. Broad legal exposure across commercial contracts, employment, data/privacy, governance, etc. You're not precious — you just get stuck in. Commercial acumen Ego-free attitude — you're collaborative, fast-moving, and practical. No job too big, no task beneath you. Bonus points if you’ve worked in high-growth environments or advised rapidly scaling companies.
