What does a Senior Director Legal – ANZ do in Fiserv? The successful senior regional leader provides strategic legal advice on a wide range of areas including contracts, corporate governance, IP, Data Privacy, M&A activities, regulatory matters, employment matters, day to day legal advisory, function support, dispute management. You will establish trust with senior leaders, lead commercial negotiations, stay updated on industry regulations, manage disputes, develop legal documentation, and lead a successful/motivated team. You are responsible for identifying and managing risks across multi-disciplinary projects in the region. What you will do: Legal Advisory/Business support: Provide strategic legal advice to the management team on business decisions, contracts, and regulatory implications.Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, company law, and other applicable statutes.Risk Management: Identify potential legal and regulatory risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement robust compliance programs.Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests.Regulatory: Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely filings, audits, and responses to notices.Policy Framework: Establish and maintain internal policies to promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.Litigation Management: Oversee and manage legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration, coordinating with external counsel as needed.Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing legal and compliance team, fostering collaboration and efficiency.Training : Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure understanding of legal and compliance requirements.Monitoring: Develop monitoring frameworks for senior management on compliance status and legal risks.Corp Development: assist with any M&A activities in the region.
