Maintenance Fitter Permanent position Immediate start available Rotating 8hr shifts - 5:30am - 1:30pm & 11am - 7pm Mon - Fri Located in Carrum Downs Company Our client is a Protective Packaging Manufacturer operating out of Melbourne's Outer South East. Join a global, market-leading manufacturer of bubble and foam wraps, cold chain solutions, protective bags and padded mailers for the industrial packaging market. You will be involved in, but not limited to: Maintenance of existing plant facilities and equipment , replacement , and adjustments to plant facilities where necessary . Maximise operational efficiency of plant and equipment by minimising downtime across all lines Perform routine maintenance activities , breakdown work and problem analysis Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of plant and equipment such as change out gearboxes, hydraulics, heat exchanges, disconnect and connect electrical wiring, basic MIG welding of brackets and shields, basic lath work, changing bearings and damaged rollers, set up pulleys on electric motors and change out belts Working independently as well as part of a team as an effective team member To be successful, you will have: Qualification as mechanical fitter or electrician with mechanical experience or highly skilled all rounder not qualified but have extensive proven experience Must fit in with business culture, work well with other fitter and machine operators Available to work rotating roster and attend call outs on a Saturday On Offer: Hours: Monday to Friday, 1st shift - 5:30am - 1:30pm (Crossover between both fitters 11am - 1:30pm) 2nd shift - 11am - 7pm Pay rates - $45 - $50/hr permanent OT & Super Role subject to completion of medical We request that candidates have full Australian working rights.
