Responsibilities The Industrial Engineer position is required to attend meetings in addition to their normal operational role and participate in other tasks as and when the need arises, other responsibilities are as follows. Board level Assist in preparing reports on relevant scorecard activities prior to board meeting. Operation level · Conduct daily toolbox meetings with relevant staff to ensure they are aware of day’s activities and expectations · Be actively involved in creating Bills of Materials for new jobs (add job operations, materials etc) based on information provided by the quoting team. · Assist with ensuring the Ace Wire Works Workplace Health and Safety standards and policies are up to date, including maintaining the Injury & MSDS registers. · Involved in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing & Waste Reduction program · Communicate with factory supervisors & team Leaders to ensure that safety, production and quality targets are known. · Assist the Production Office in all aspects of the supply chain for Ace Wire Works to meet is goals and targets. · Assist the Management in the review & undertaking of Production Planning, New Product Introduction, Waste Reduction & Process Flow Improvements. · Assist in the effective management of the importation of finished products from overseas suppliers. · Assist with and co-ordinate stock take activities on the last working day of every calendar month. · Review current quality related procedures, policies and documentation for this position and implement improvements where necessary · Reporting and follow up of errors made (NCR’s - establish improvements where necessary) · To work with other departments & employees in order to achieve company objectives · To be flexible in approach to hours worked when deadlines are tight · Question aspects of a task that appear incorrect & follow through until resolved · Lead improvements in our SFE system and related Job Analysis function Skills & Qualifications: · A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field · Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Waste Reduction, and Continuous Improvement principles. · Experience in reviewing and improving quality-related procedures, policies, and documentation. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills for leading daily toolbox meetings with staff and communicating with factory supervisors and team leaders. · Experience in leading improvements in systems and related job analysis functions. · Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards and policies. · Strong analytical skills for creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and leading improvements in systems like SFE (Sales Force Effectiveness) and related job analysis functions. · Ability to be flexible with working hours and adaptable to changing priorities and tight deadlines. · Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, including daily meetings and reporting requirements.
