About the Role Our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team provide s a full range of risk solutions to help organisations navigate a diverse range of challenges, changes, and opportunities. Our audit and advisory solutions focus on IT external audit support, third party assurance reporting, risk management, risk mitigation, risk strategies and process improvement. The Tech nology Risk team resides within RAS and focuses on conducting IT procedures on controls to meet external financial reporting requirements , assurance reporting on third party services , and auditing procedures focusing on the d esign and operat ing effectiveness of information and reporting system controls. Our services include: External IT Audit Support (IT General Controls and Business Application Control testing) Third Party Audit ( SOC 1, 2, 3 reporting ) Financial Audit System Implementation and Data Migration reviews Independent JSOX / SOX reviews N on-technical cybersecurity IT and business process reviews About the Role Within the RAS Leadership Team, responsible for supporting the Partners in the execution of our services , handling client matters, building team performance at both an individual and team level and ensure operational excellence in engagement delivery. Duties and Responsibilities : Assist in building and mentoring a team of highly skilled internal professionals. Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industry sectors, with a focus on IT risk, controls and assurance. Supervise and undertake fieldwork and prepare written reports or deliverables of a high quality and standard, adhering to budgets and timelines. Understand and apply the firm's professional delivery standards to deliver high-quality, insightful advice and exceptional client service. Assist in driving the development of new business solutions / service offerings. Assist in driving the continuous improvement of current practice processes, tools and methodologies. Coach and mentor junior members of the team. Drive growth initiatives and business development of the practice while working with Partners / Senior Management and other service lines across the broader BDO team About You Our ideal candidate has the following attributes: Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail Analytical and investigative skills Ability to work independently using professional judgment Ability to work effectively in a team environment Qualifications and Experience : Certifications or qualifications relevant to the role ( i.e ., Certified Information Systems Auditor ( CISA ) , ITIL, COBIT5, Chartered Accountant ( CA ) , Certified Practicing Accountant ( CPA ) , etc.) Experience in IT General Controls (ITGC), Business Application Controls, SOC 1, 2, 3 reporting, Cyber Security, JSOX / SOX reviews, System Implementation and Data Migration reviews and IT Financial Audit . H igh level of experience in a similar role in practice or industry Information systems, accounting or business related tertiary qualification Experience in IT risk management including frameworks, risk processes and methodologies. S trong working knowledge of key business risks across various industry sectors. Experience in proposals, project management, risk and control identification and reporting. Experience in presenting to Senior Management, Boards and ARCs and facilitation of workshops. Exposure to latest better practices/methodologies/frameworks in regard to IT audit, risk management, project management etc. Why BDO?
