We are seeking to appoint an IT Support Officer to join our dynamic, future-focused IT Team. This is an excellent opportunity to start a new career within the IT Industry. The IT Support Officer is the first point of contact for all IT and AV-related issues within the school. This role provides level 1 support for students and staff and manages the IT helpdesk. The role is also vital in supporting audio-visual set-up and support for staff, including setting up for significant events. The IT Support Officer reports directly to the IT Manager and responsibilities include: Install, maintain, and configure computer systems Provide Level 1 user support Answering help desk calls Install and maintain Audio Visual equipment Hardware, Software, Audio Visual, and Networking technical issue resolution Project work as directed The School is focused on securing a candidate who has a blend of experiences and skills that include but are not limited to: Excellent customer service skills General computing knowledge of hardware and software Competent knowledge of Windows and Apple Operating Systems Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365 Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Wi-Fi Knowledge of elementary physical networking Ability to work effectively in a team environment Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised Organised and methodical approach to assigned tasks Have a vehicle and an open license for short travel between campuses All staff at The Southport School should be supportive of the Code of Conduct and Anglican Ethos of the School.
