About us: Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, now providing integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building boasting state of the art medical equipment. The other primary hospitals within the health service are Gladstone, Emerald, Yeppoon, and Biloela together with many smaller rural units transfer patients through to Rockhampton for specialist care and investigation. Rockhampton Hospital provides training for Medical Students participating in University of Queensland - Central Queensland Rural Clinical School and has links with the Central Queensland University for Nursing and Health Studies. There is a strong emphasis on strengthening the 'grow your own' medical workforce with an active Medical Education Unit and registrar training as a major focus within the health service. About the role: Facilitate external Specialist Outpatient Department Services in coordination with the Practice Manager Rockhampton Specialist Outpatients Department. Provide assistance and support to the Practice Manager of the Rockhampton Specialist Outpatients Department. Work with Specialist Outpatients Service Implementation Standard in planning services/templates and providing data for Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Develop close working relationships with Revenue Services to ensure correct billing for admittable procedures. Facilitates administration audits for waitlist management as opportunity is available. About you: While not mandatory, experience in the delivery of Information's and Communications Technology systems would be well regarded. High level of interpersonal, communication, negotiation and organisational skills. Well-developed ability to function effectively as a team member and on an individual basis, to work autonomously and show initiative in day to day problem solving. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage staff within a team environment. Competent computer skills in information systems relative to Specialist Outpatient Services environment.
