What You Will Do & What You Will Bring As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will: Lead a medium-sized multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver complex mechanical projects on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction. Drive the development of robust, high-quality mechanical solutions that meet business, technical, and regulatory requirements. Mentor and guide engineers to ensure design quality, manufacturability, and smooth transfer to manufacturing. Oversee design-for-manufacture, assembly, and configuration management during transfer-to-manufacture activities. Provide cross-project expertise on production-ready design for products in life sciences, diagnostics, industrial, and related sectors. Qualifications & Experience In addition, we require the following skills and experience: An accredited qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s or PhD highly regarded). 8 years of relevant industrial experience in product development. Direct experience in cell therapy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or related regulated environments. OR experience in adjacent industries such as food production or industrial automation with demonstrated adaptability to regulated environments. Familiar with working to GMP compliance A proven track record in design transfer and manufacturing establishment for medium- to high-volume products. Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills, with experience guiding medium-sized teams of 5–10 members. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in distributed teams.
