We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Project Management expert to join our growing Melbourne Hub and lead our Project Management Practice across a diverse range of high-impact client engagements. Responsibilities Lead and guide major client engagements, supporting strategic planning, program execution, and delivery governance across complex initiatives. Provide expert advisory services on project delivery methodologies, lifecycle management, controls, risk, and assurance practices tailored to client environments. Develop and implement delivery standards, tools, templates, and frameworks that underpin our project management offering. Build and manage a high-performing project delivery team, mentoring and coaching consultants to grow capability and deliver exceptional client value. Act as a strategic advisor to client executives, building strong relationships and long-term partnerships through trusted engagement. Work collaboratively with other practice leads and principal consultants to align delivery with MP’s broader service offerings and growth objectives. Drive recruitment, onboarding, and professional development within the practice. Contribute thought leadership through white papers, presentations, or involvement in professional project management communities such as PMI, AIPM, or IPMA. Qualifications 10 years of hands-on project and program delivery experience, with at least 5 years in a client-facing consulting or advisory capacity. 5 years in a leadership role managing people, capability development, or practice governance within a professional services environment. Strong knowledge and practical application of project management frameworks such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, MSP, or Agile approaches. Experience working across multiple sectors (e.g., infrastructure, public sector, defence, technology, or utilities) highly regarded. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field; relevant project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, etc.) preferred. Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, from delivery teams to C-level executives.
