As a Senior Business Analyst , you’ll work closely with Project Managers, senior leaders, and cross-functional squads to define, document, and deliver business and technical requirements through all phases of the project lifecycle. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating workshops, producing high-quality documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. About the Role With Personal Identifiable Information (PII) experience specializing in understanding, documenting, and improving processes related to sensitive data, involving privacy regulations and data security. Includes gathering requirements for systems that handle PII, performing data analysis, mapping and re-engineering processes to ensure data integrity and compliance, and working with stakeholders to implement solutions that protect PII. Key skills required are analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and technical proficiency with data analysis tools gained through a combination of relevant data implementation or migration projects. Location: Melbourne or Parramatta based | 12 months Fixed term contract, multiple roles In this role you will be responsible for: Define Business Problems & Requirements: Lead the investigation of business problems, gathering technical and non-technical information to define detailed business and technical requirements. Data analysis and Requirements Gathering : Gathering, interpreting, and documenting business requirements for systems that handle PII, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and company policies Process & System Analysis: Analysing existing processes and recommending optimal business practices and system functionalities to improve the handling and protection of PII Solution Design, Implementation and documentation: Developing and implementing functional solutions and testing strategies to ensure the quality and integrity of systems managing PII. Creating clear documentation for user training and conducting formal training sessions on new processes and systems related to PII. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Collaborating with various stakeholders (e.g., legal, IT, business units & matrixed teams) to understand needs and ensure that PII-related projects meet objectives and compliance standards & safeguard sensitive information throughout the project lifecycle under the wider compliance program. RAID & Reporting Management: Lead RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management practices and support decision-making with impactful dashboards, reports, and insights. Requirements Traceability & Quality Assurance: Ensure strong traceability between business/technical requirements through development and testing, supporting defect investigation and test documentation in collaboration with QA and PMs. What You will bring in the role to be successful: 5 years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst covering both Business Requirements and Technical Requirements. Previous hands-on experience with data implementation, data migration or data governance projects a must Strong ability to gather, analyse, and interpret complex data sets to identify issues and opportunities for improvement in PII handling Familiarity with relevant software tools and technologies for data analysis, business process mapping, and managing sensitive information.
