The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre. Administration and Reception Team Members work as part of the Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre (CNC) office team in welcoming the community into the Centre, undertaking administration tasks such as taking enrolments, guiding members to activities and setting up rooms. Your contribution supports the building of a strong and diverse community, and growing CNC into a vibrant Centre of the community. Requirements: Previous reception and/or administration skills are highly desirable for this role, but not necessary, just a commitment to work as part of a team and willingness to learn and get involved. A friendly personality with good communication skills is vital to this role, as well as the ability to relate to people from all walks of life and work within a team environment. Good computer skills are also required with the ability to use Office 365 and a basic understanding of programs such as Word and Excel. Responsibilities: Greeting and assisting CNC members and visitors to the building Answering the telephone and taking enrolments and receiving payments. General administrative, planning, and procedural tasks as part of the team. Maintaining Community rooms and common areas, ensuring they are welcoming spaces. Applying your many skills and talents in areas of interest to you.
