Admissions Officer We are seeking applications for a full-time experienced Admissions Officer for our AdventCare Whitehorse, Yarra Ranges facility located in Nunawading & Warburton. This position covers two facilities and there is an expectation you will travel to Warburton on a weekly basis. AdventCare is a 'not for profit' organisation offering aged care that embraces Christian values and provides a home for people requiring all levels of care. The organisation is highly regarded in the community. As an Admissions Officer you will use your skills to: · To support the Facility Manager/s in the Management of admissions. · Provide high quality customer service when greeting persons in person and over the phone. · Ensure the administration area is professionally maintained and visitors are dealt with proficiently and to the utmost standards ensuring AdventCare reputation is maintained at all times. · Operate and utilise the advanced functions of software packages to produce documents, reports, letters, and worksheets; prepare contracts. · Coordinate document and data control (organisational and facility specific) both hardcopy and softcopy including the archiving. To be considered for this role you will have: • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Packages, with an intermediate to advanced level of Word Processing and Excel Database. • Knowledge of the Age Care Act and relevant Guidelines in relation to resident agreements, the admissions process and accommodation payments. • Experience in an administration role, preferably in an aged care setting. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in liaising with a broad range of persons. • Strong customer service focus. • High level of organisational skill and time management with the ability to meet organisational deadlines. • Demonstrated capacity to work independently in addition to respectfully and collegially in team environment. • Ability to use a range of office equipment including telephone system, photocopier etc. • Commitment to, and willingness to participate in, continuing training and education related to area of employment. • Positive and enthusiastic attitude • A current and valid police check (no more than three months old) NDIS check • The ability to work as part of a team or autonomously. • Covid-19 vaccination & Influenza would be desirable We offer a pleasant working environment, competitive wages and training and development opportunities and are dedicated to the enhancement of our staff and work based on a unique company structure, policies and procedures.
