I'm working with a client who is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team in Brisbane. This is a senior role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will suit someone who enjoys a mix of strategy, client engagement, and hands-on business development. You'll be responsible for securing new opportunities, managing existing relationships, and making sure the business continues to grow in the right direction. It's a role where you'll get to influence strategy at the top level, while still being close enough to the detail to make a real impact. What you'll be doing: Building and maintaining strong client relationships. Identifying and securing new business opportunities. Leading the preparation of tenders, proposals, and business cases. Developing and implementing commercial and marketing strategies. Monitoring performance and market trends to keep the business competitive. Providing commercial insights and advice directly to leadership. What we're looking for: A degree in Marketing, Business, or something similar. At least 5 years' experience in a commercial, business development, or sales role. Someone who communicates well (written and verbal) and builds trust easily. A quick thinker who adapts well when things change. Strong organisational skills and able to juggle competing priorities. Confident with Microsoft Office and business tools. Bonus points if you have: Experience in aviation, transport, logistics, or resources (aviation training can be provided). Familiarity with tendering processes, contracts, or CRM systems.
