Our Opportunity The Operations and Maintenance team at Bolivar ensure the high-quality treatment of more than 60% of the wastewater produced by Adelaide. More than third of the wastewater flow is diverted to beneficial reuse. The work you undertake therefore has a significant environmental benefit to the people of South Australia. We are looking for a Process Technician Operator Maintainer with Electrical or Mechanical qualification. In this role you will have responsibility to work autonomously and make decisions to optimise plant processes. The Process Technician Operator Maintainer requires experience in an industrial process operation role, with industrial experience. The role will ensure the efficient and compliant operation of the Bolivar Recycled Water Treatment Plants ensuring operations are safe and environmentally sound and safe for plant personnel, subcontractors and visitors. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract. Responsibilities of the position include: Direct and support personnel in operational duties aligned with skills and competencies. Perform operational functions with basic practical skills and knowledge through on-the-job training. Complete mandatory training as outlined in the Training Plan. Operate plant equipment and systems, including pump stations, pipelines, odour control, and chemical dosing systems. Respond to alarms and abnormal plant performance, using SCADA for fault diagnosis. Perform plant and equipment isolations for maintenance or capital works. Issue permits and review documentation for contractor and maintenance work. Undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including fault finding and repair. Coordinate subcontractors during emergency and routine works. Follow and enforce safety (H&S), environmental (EMS), and quality (QA) procedures. Essential requirements Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and show initiative Strong communication skills including good telephone manners and written skills Solid understanding of wastewater pump station operations Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work as a team member or independently Current unrestricted driver’s licence Required to work flexible hours to meet demands and be able to travel to metropolitan sites and places where necessary Required to be on call for nominated water treatment plants on a roster basis which includes additional payment and allowances Desired Qualifications MR (Medium Rigid) Driver's Licence Truck-mounted crane or dogging High Risk Licence.
