Our client is well-established in a boutique part of Sydney city and due to its continued growth is seeking two experienced lawyers. The opportunities that exist for the right persons to join this firm are in the lead commercial law role and lead wills/estate planning and family law role. Your skill set will be broad and strong. Necessarily, you will have significant experience and be able to work independently with your technical work unsupervised. We envisage a minimum of 8 years post qualification experience would be necessary. In relation to the Commercial role our client is looking to cover a breadth of commercial documentation work including general commercial contract/documentation (trusts, business contracts, shareholder, partnership and the like documentation), business sale and purchase matters (assets, shares/client books), general conveyancing, basic trademark and trade practice issues, IP and general commercial disputes/litigation. Similarly, our client receives a volume of estate planning and family law referrals (generally high net worth individuals) and are looking to engage a Family law and Wills lawyer to service these referrals You will be able to apply your technical and personal skill sets to not only maintain the current practice but to enhance and develop both internal and external relationships to drive strong growth. This will be a key aspect to your success. The role necessitates that you will be a vibrant and excellent communicator, intelligent, well-presented and a person who readily inspires confidence in colleagues and clients alike. Above all you will be a person who acts with absolute integrity and, in light of the public profile of several of our clients, you will be able to maintain complete confidentiality. You will also have strong computer and technical skills. A client base of your own (small or otherwise) would be a significant advantage. This is an excellent opportunity to move out of the shadow and to explore your own growth potential while contributing to the growth of our practice. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience, and the client is more than happy to discuss additional revenue-based incentive opportunities so that you can share in your success. Interested applicants should apply indicating their preference for either role.
