Are you an experienced Senior Cost Estimator with a passion for delivering high-quality cost benchmarks and infrastructure analysis? This NSW Government agency is seeking five skilled professionals to join their Delivery Management team on a 6-month contract, supporting critical infrastructure projects across the state. The Opportunity In this role, you will play a key part in preparing infrastructure cost benchmarks and conducting detailed cost analysis on completed projects. Working within the Delivery Management division , you will provide cost estimation services across all stages of project delivery and help maintain competitive rate libraries that inform future projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to major government infrastructure initiatives while working in a flexible hybrid model (3 days in the Parramatta office / 2 days WFH). Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and detailed project cost estimates for complex infrastructure projects. Analyse direct, indirect, and overhead costs to establish reliable benchmark rates. Support the development and maintenance of cost databases and rate libraries. Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement, and contractors to obtain essential inputs. Prepare cost plans, tender documentation, and bid evaluations. Provide expert input into pre-bid and qualification submissions. Conduct post-project reviews and support process improvements in cost estimation. Keep abreast of latest estimating technologies, software, and industry practices. About You You are an experienced Cost Estimator/Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record in infrastructure projects. You thrive in deadline-driven environments, can manage competing priorities, and bring a solutions-focused approach to cost analysis. Essential Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost estimation, ideally within infrastructure or construction. Proficiency in Genesis, Candy, and CostX software. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proven ability to prepare cost estimates across all project stages. Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. Desirable: Experience within government or highly regulated industries.
