Full time, fixed term for 2 years Opportunity for a Principal Research Fellow at level D to contribute to advancements in biomedical research at the University of Sydney Offering a competitive remuneration package including 17% superannuation About the opportunity The School of Biomedical Engineering was established in 2019 to facilitate collaborative research excellence in the field of biomedical engineering. Through our academic staff and students, our research will aim to serve the public as a thought-leader and provide innovative technology for industry, hospitals, governments and the wider community. We are currently seeking a Principal Research Fellow at level D (Associated Professor) in Stem Cells, Biomaterials & Ageing to: work as a member of a team under the supervision of Professor Hala Zreiqat lead and manage successful competitive research grants and explore diverse funding opportunities establish partnerships, collaborations and engage in translational research for impactful outcomes in research, development, commercialisation, and policy improvement maintain a national or international reputation for academic excellence through independent and innovative contributions to research, expanding knowledge and practice in the discipline provide mentoring and supervision to research staff uphold professional conduct and standards in all interactions with colleagues and stakeholders undertake other duties and contribute to projects appropriate to the classification level as required. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Principal Research Fellow in Stem Cells, Biomaterials & Ageing who has: A PhD qualification or an equivalent combination of training and experience in Stem Cells, Biomaterials & Ageing Proven success in securing competitive funding (e.g., NHMRC, ARC) extensive experience conducting original research and engaging in scholarly activity.
