Job summary: Flexible hours available More than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year SOWL Restaurant is seeking experienced and passionate professional wait and bar staff - all rounders to join our team at our new unique Mediterranean restaurant located in Carnegie VIC 3163. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity to be part of a dynamic culinary team delivering exceptional Mediterranean cuisine. Key duties • Greeting customers • : Welcoming customers and directing them to tables • Taking orders • : Taking orders from customers and entering them into a system • Serving food and drinks • : Serving food and drinks to customers • Preparing bills • : Preparing bills and processing payments • Ensuring customer satisfaction • : Checking on customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and beverages • Maintaining cleanliness • : Maintaining cleanliness standards • Restocking supplies • : Restocking working stations with needed supplies • Helping bus tables • : Helping bus tables, returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen • Providing menu suggestions • : Offering menu suggestions and answering customer questions Additional duties • Maintaining knowledge of menu items and restaurant specials • Working with colleagues to fulfill food orders • Attending meetings with managers to learn about menu changes and specials • Opening bottles and pouring beverages What you'll be doing • Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Greek dishes to the highest standards • Assist in menu development and implementation of new recipes • Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver exceptional customer service • Contribute to the overall success of the restaurant through your culinary expertise What we're looking for • Significant experience as a professional chef or cook, preferably within the Mediterranean cuisine • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Commitment to delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional customer service What we offer At SOWL Restaurant, we are dedicated to creating a positive and supportive work environment for our employees.
