This is an initial 12-month hourly rate contract with the possibility of extension based on performance. The Role Key responsibilities include: Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner Performing reconciliations and supporting treasury activities Ensuring payment deadlines and compliance requirements are met Supporting external reporting obligations and financial controls Responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders Identifying potential issues and escalating them promptly to management The Ideal Person You are an experienced Finance Officer, Bookkeeper, or Assistant Accountant with a strong background in accurately and timely processing financial operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card administration, treasury, and other core financial processes. You may come from one of the following backgrounds: An APS4 Finance Officer with experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit card processes A high-performing finance or accounts officer from the private sector, with hands-on experience in financial administration, seeking to move into the APS This role requires Australian citizenship.
