Description About the Role Southern Rural Water is currently seeking a dynamic Lead Business Analyst to drive our business analysis function within our Digital Futures Program, covering Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), Operational Technology (OT), data, and integration projects. This is a unique opportunity to lead business analysis at scale and shape the success of SRW’s digital transformation. In this role, you will shape how business needs are captured, validated, and translated into functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring every initiative aligns with SRW’s strategic objectives, technology architecture, and regulatory obligations. As the Lead BA, your leadership will be key to enabling robust, end to end project delivery and driving long term business value. You will play a crucial role in mentoring junior analysts and supporting business analysis activities while ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality business requirements, process maps, data models, and solution designs. As the Lead Business Analyst, some of your responsibilities will include: Lead business analysis activities across ERP and major technology projects, ensuring consistency of approach, artefacts, and quality. Oversee development of Business Requirements Specifications (BRS), Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria. Translate complex business needs into clear solution designs, ensuring alignment with SRW’s enterprise architecture, data, and integration standards. Lead quality assurance and software testing across ERP and major technology projects, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, reliable, and aligned to business requirements. Develop, implement, and continuously improve SRW’s business analysis and software testing frameworks, toolsets, and methodologies to ensure a standardised and fit-for-purpose approach. About you The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate some of the desired experience and abilities below: A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline. Extensive business analysis experience across ERP (Major Platforms i.e. Microsoft, TechnologyOne, CIVICA), OT (Telemetry, SCADA, IoT), data, GIS, and digital transformation projects. Proven ability to lead analysis through the full project lifecycle, from requirements and process mapping to integration, testing, cutover, and transition to BAU. Deep working knowledge of enterprise platforms and integrations (Microsoft Azure, M365, Microsoft Dynamics, TechnologyOne,) with strong awareness of cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance in regulated environments. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business analysis and testing frameworks to ensure consistency and quality.
