We have a one-year full time contract opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Pre-Prep Teacher to join our highly reputable Early Education Centres at our North Shore campus to commence in January 2026. The Pre-Prep Teacher will support the aims and ethos of Independent Schools and be willing to participate in the co-curricular and pastoral life of the School. You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, preparation, and operation of the assigned classroom, and providing direction and support to educators and staff. Additionally, you will build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and management to deliver excellent outcomes. A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an ACECQA recognised equivalent) is mandatory for this role. Responsibilities include: Plan and implement a play-based program suitable to the needs and interests of the children attending the Centre. Develop and deliver thematic, emergent interest-based experiences, with individual planning to support and extend each child’s learning development. In collaboration with the Director of Early Education, establish and maintain suitable developmental records. Plan through play for the long and the short-term needs and goals of each child. Treat each child with dignity and respect, taking into consideration any cultural, socio-economic, or other differences that may arise. A full role description can be found here . A proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment. A knowledge and understanding of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and Early Years Learning Framework of deep level. Proven experience working within an Early Learning Centre environment which is part of a Prep – Year 12 school.
