About the Team & Office You’ll be joining a tight-knit and experienced Broadcast Engineering team based in our Melbourne office. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring our broadcast and technical systems operate smoothly across the network. The Melbourne office is home to key national teams and is well-equipped to support both day-to-day operations and major broadcast events. We’re currently trialling a 9-day fortnight—giving you every second Friday off to recharge. A day in the life? As a Technician, you’ll support the critical technology infrastructure that powers SCA’s content, news, production, and administrative functions. Whether it’s ensuring our studios are running at peak performance, troubleshooting escalated technical issues, or helping deliver high-quality outside broadcasts, no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with local and national teams to ensure consistent service delivery, contribute to project planning, and assist in keeping our systems future-ready and resilient. What you'll be doing: Provide support for all local and national content, news, production, and business systems Diagnose and manage escalated technical issues, working with internal teams and third-party providers Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of all SCA technology equipment Ensure on-air studios, newsrooms, OB and transmission gear meet technical standards Assist in project delivery, resource planning, budgeting, and roster coordination Support Outside Broadcast and events setup as needed Drive continuous improvements and recommend technology upgrades What You’ll Need Technical experience working with broadcast and/or IT systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration across departments Proactive mindset and a commitment to high-quality service delivery Let us sweeten the deal! 9 Day fortnight trial to support your work life balance SCA GIGs – Our internal talent development program helps you cross-skill and grow within SCA.
