Due to continued growth they are currently seeking a highly capable Senior Project Engineer to support and manage day-to-day engineering activities across a range of exciting, defence-related projects. Role and Responsibilities As Senior Project Engineer you will possess strong technical expertise and leadership skills and will be able to support project delivery while enabling the Engineering Manager to focus on strategic initiatives. You will also: Lead engineering investigations and produce high-quality technical reports and publications Review and approve 2D/3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks Supervise and mentor project engineers, overseeing drawing production and technical documentation Perform engineering calculations and analysis for critical fluid systems (e.g., high-pressure air, oxygen, hydrogen, water, waste, fuel) Manage project tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure delivery within allocated hours Support project managers and engineers in delivering defence-related projects Engage with customers and suppliers to ensure project alignment and technical compliance Ensure engineering outputs meet relevant standards (AS, ISO) and AS 1100 drawing requirements Skills and Experience Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics or equivalent - must be recognised in Australia Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, ideally in defence or related industries Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy Familiar with producing engineering drawings to AS 1100 standard Familiar with reading and interpreting design standards (AS, ISO, etc.) Preferred Skills: Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement Strong written and verbal communication skills Eligible for Australian Defence Security Clearance (desirable) Australian citizenship preferred - permanent residents of Australia will also be considered N.B.
