Senior MEP Engineer – SSTOM Project About Us: The Parklife Metro consortium, in partnership with the NSW Government, is delivering one of Western Sydney’s most transformative infrastructure projects as part of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport line. Our consortium—featuring Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild —is delivering this once-in-a-generation project under the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package. This includes six new stations, a stabling and maintenance facility, rail systems, and a fleet of driverless trains. The Opportunity: Employed under Webuild, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer - MEP to join our growing team across the stations. In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership and oversight of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems during design, construction, testing, and commissioning. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to apply their expertise on a high-profile transport infrastructure project while mentoring junior team members and driving engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate MEP engineering activities to ensure design, installation, and commissioning meet project requirements and standards. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver works safely, on time, and within budget. Lead the preparation, review, and approval of technical documentation including method statements, work packs, ITPs, RFIs, and NCRs. Provide technical expertise in MEP design reviews, value engineering, and problem resolution. Monitor and report on progress, ensuring alignment with project schedules and deliverables. Ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian standards, and environmental, health, and safety requirements. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers within the project team. About You: Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or a related discipline). Demonstrated experience in an MEP engineering role, ideally on large-scale infrastructure, rail, or complex building projects. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including design, installation, and commissioning. Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams. Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills. A proactive and collaborative approach with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.
