How will you make an impact This role within the First Line Risk team supports AMP Bank’s Lending and Everyday Banking Division. As a Risk Manager you are a trusted advisor to the Bank teams, helping embed risk frameworks and uplift risk maturity across the Bank. Some of your responsibilities may include; • Risk assessment: Facilitate risk profiling workshops and lead the documentation of risk assessments across business processes and change initiatives, ensuring risks are identified, evaluated and mitigated effectively. • Risk in Change: Work collaboratively with the Bank Value Stream to support change initiatives, ensuring risks are identified early and controls are embedded by design in new processes and systems. Be able to identify and recommend process improvements and changes that are within risk appetite. • Control testing: Conduct regular control testing of the Bank’s Key Control Framework to provide assurance that controls are effectively designed and operating as intended. • Risk event and issue management: Support the investigation and remediation of operational risk events, ensuring correct identification of root cause and identifying trends for continuous improvement. • Material Service Providers risk profiles: Conduct and be involved in undertaking outsourcing risk assessments to understand the risk associated with the Bank’s Material Service Providers and meet sourcing requirements. • Business continuity: Support the maintenance of business continuity requirements to ensure the business can maintain resilience in times of disruption, including facilitate scenario testing, lead review and update of continuity plans. • Training and awareness: Support the uplift of risk culture for the whole of AMP Bank by delivering targeted training and education sessions to Bank teams. This education ensures that employees at all levels have a clear understanding of their role in managing risks effectively. • Reporting and trend analysis: Contribute to effective risk governance by managing and contributing to risk reporting for Risk Committees. Prepare and deliver timely, accurate and insightful dashboards to senior management, including the use of trend analysis to identify emerging risks and patterns across risk events and control failures to inform proactive risk mitigation approaches. What you will bring to the role • Previous experience working in operational risk, internal/external audit or an assurance role, ideally within the banking or financial services industry • Understanding and experience of risk management, including operational risk activities, controls testing, risk assessment methodologies and risk advisory • Proficiency in the use of risk management platforms for risk event/incident management, controls testing and risk profiles • Ability to constructively challenge, consult and advise, whilst maintaining excellent relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. • Advocate for our customers and their experiences by providing and acting on feedback on what is and is not working • Understanding of banking and legislative requirements, including CPS 230 Why we think you’ll love working at AMP Doing what we’ve always done is not an option, so your clever ideas will get airtime here.
