Full time continuing opportunity within the Planning and Analytics team Drive strategic decision-making through high-impact data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and leadership of university-wide insights projects Base Salary $146,197 - $154,260 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Senior Analytics Specialist plays a key role in delivering data-driven insights at a corporate level. Using advanced statistical methods and software, they source, prepare, and analyse complex datasets to inform decision-making and drive organisational performance. They lead evaluation projects, develop tailored reports and visualisations, and provide expert advice to a wide range of stakeholders. This role also involves representing the university on committees and working groups, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and supporting government reporting and compliance, risk, and reporting frameworks. The successful candidate will champion stakeholder engagement, mentor team members, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. About you Previous experience working with large data sources and analysing and providing insights on complex quantitative and qualitative data across a large and diverse organisation. Expertise in Power BI, and experience in using analytics programing languages, such as SQL, R or Python. Highly developed data analysis skills to query and validate data and to discover patterns and relationships within the data. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key senior partners and stakeholders both internally and externally. Highly developed organisational, planning and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritise work and complete required tasks within tight deadlines. Proven ability to work as part of a professional team, both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision including provision of coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues. Experience delivering reporting and analytics supporting government reporting and compliance activities is advantageous.
