Overview: Full-time Continuing position Multiple positions Salary Professional HEW8 $116,551 - $131,257 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working About the Role The Senior Network Engineer provides technical expertise and leadership in supporting RMIT’s network and telephony infrastructure. You will play a key role in resolving complex network issues, supporting the Global Networks roadmap, and advising on the effective use of network technologies. This role also contributes to project delivery, designs and maintains secure and reliable network services, and provides guidance to colleagues within the Global Networks Team. About You You are an experienced network engineer with strong technical expertise in enterprise-scale infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud and security. You bring advanced knowledge of routing, switching and automation tools, with hands-on experience across Cisco, Aruba or Arista products. Skilled in translating complex technical issues for diverse audiences, you are collaborative, adaptable, and confident working in large and complex environments. Vendor certifications (e.g. CCNP/CCIE) and experience with automation scripting are highly regarded. Some after hours work will be required for this position, in addition to an On-Call roster which is rotated monthly amongst the team.
