About the role As the Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for cyber security functions across the Systems Program Office, including event monitoring, incident handling, vulnerability management, supply chain risk assessment and cyber security education/training. Role Responsibilities Cyber security monitoring/analysis via a SIEM. Advice to Product Teams on cyber security logging and monitoring implementation. Contribution to Incident Response under Cyber Security Manager direction. Qualifications and Experience SOC Analyst / Cyber Security certifications, such as CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst, EC-Council Certified SOC Analyst, GIAC Certified Incident Handler Use and user configuration of Security Incident and Event Management platforms (such as Splunk) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with knowledge of tracking or collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project, SharePoint, Trello, or similar). The successful candidate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
