ABOUT US The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity. Why you’ll love working with us This is a role where your empathy and skills can have a direct, positive impact on people’s lives. You’ll be part of a supportive, values-driven team that believes in hope, dignity, and walking alongside people as they find their way forward. Why this role matters The Doorways program is all about walking alongside people in our community who are doing it tough. Whether someone is experiencing financial stress or other challenges, we’re here to listen, provide emergency support, and connect them with services that can make a real difference. At some of our sites, we also offer case management, so we can be part of breaking the cycle of disadvantage and building longer-term stability. Our approach is strength-based and trauma-informed – we believe in people’s resilience and capacity to grow, and we’re here to support them in that journey. About the role We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Emergency Relief Assessor to join our Katherine team.
