Job Title: APS3 Processing Officer Location: Brisbane (flexible working arrangements available) Anticipated Duration: 12-month contract Level: APS3 Hourly Rate: $45 p/h Super About the Role We are seeking an APS3 Processing Officer to join one of our Federal Government clients in Brisbane. This role is focused on the accurate and timely processing of applications and documentation, ensuring clients receive high-quality service and outcomes. As a Processing Officer, you will be responsible for managing incoming forms, completing data entry, following up on incomplete information, and ensuring all records are accurately maintained in the system. You will also handle a moderate volume of incoming phone calls, providing clear and professional assistance to clients. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work to KPIs in a high-compliance environment. Key Responsibilities Process incoming forms and documentation in line with established procedures and service standards. Follow up with clients to obtain missing or incomplete information. Accurately enter and maintain data in internal systems to support service delivery processes. Assist in preparing and submitting documentation to ensure timely and accurate outcomes. Manage a moderate volume of incoming phone calls, providing information and support in a professional manner. Work within set KPIs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance are consistently achieved. Take feedback positively and apply learnings to improve performance. Contribute to a collaborative team environment while delivering individual accountabilities. About You The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Australian citizenship (mandatory requirement for all Federal Government roles). Strong administrative and processing experience, ideally within government or a highly regulated environment. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload with accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in contacting clients by phone. Customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations in a professional manner. Ability to work to KPIs and take feedback constructively.
