Reporting directly to the Kindergarten Team Leader and leading the Co-Educators, Students and Volunteers, your responsibilities will include the following: Working according to the Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and curriculum frameworks. Developing a high-quality curriculum to enhance children’s learning and development, in line with curriculum frameworks and educational leadership; Developing and maintaining positive reciprocal relationships with and between children, families and educators, including mentoring educators; and Initiating and promoting warm and intentional interactions with children as a key learning strategy; Ensuring each child’s learning and development is supported and assessed as part of an ongoing cycle of planning, documentation and evaluation. Skills & Experience Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood), Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), or other relevant approved ACECQA qualification; Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the legislative requirements, regulations and developmental frameworks within the early childhood sector, such as Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and National and State Early Years Learning Frameworks; Proven ability to deliver high quality contemporary educational programs; Ability and experience in leading and mentoring a team of educators and co-educators, including educational leadership within the centre; Ability to self-manage work requirements in liaison with the Kindergarten Team Leader and other members of the Early Years leadership team; and Hold a current and valid: Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration First Aid Level 2 Certificate CPR Certificate Anaphylaxis Management Certificate Emergency Asthma Management Certificate How to Apply Applications must be submitted through our online system and should be in line with the Moonee Valley City Council Application Guide.
