The program is organised to enhance children’s learning through a routine which exposes them to meaningful interactions with opportunities to solve their own problems. Children’s learning is enhanced by the service's team of highly qualified and enthusiastic educators. Where possible the children’s learning is helped by external presenters providing resources and opportunities for children to explore ideas further. Sometimes the learning may take place outside of the service through a planned excursion, where children can visit the local community to further enhance their learning. Working in collaboration with the team to plan and implement play-based programs. Documenting children’s learning, development, interest and abilities, including setting individual and group goals. Initiating and promoting warm and intentional interactions with children as a key learning strategy. Contributing to the development and delivery of curriculums within the learning program. Dedicated non-contact time with mentoring available to ensure thoughtful and purposeful programming About You Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent, as recognised by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and in accordance with the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 & the Education and Care National Services Regulations 2011. Relevant experience working in children’s services in line with Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and curriculum frameworks. Demonstrated understanding of Victoria’s Child Safe Standards. Ability to self-manage work requirements in liaison with centre leadership. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other early childhood educators, to provide appropriate culturally sensitive and inclusive educational programs. Hold a current and valid, or willingness to obtain: Working with Children’s Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management certificates.
