The Role As IT Architect – Data Centre & Infrastructure, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level infrastructure solutions across a diverse APAC environment. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract where you will support projects, operational improvements, and compliance activities while acting as a technical reference point for infrastructure-related initiatives. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and delivering infrastructure solutions across regional data centres. Supporting servers, storage, networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switches), and virtualisation platforms. Collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and service owners to drive project outcomes. Applying and maintaining security controls aligned to government and defence standards. Supporting audits, disaster recovery planning, and compliance activities. Evaluating and recommending technology improvements to enhance system reliability. Providing technical support during escalated or high-impact scenarios. About You You are an experienced IT professional with a background in systems administration or infrastructure architecture within enterprise environments. You enjoy working in collaborative teams, have strong communication skills, and bring a solutions-focused mindset to complex challenges. You will also bring: Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred). Hands-on experience with virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), servers, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS). Knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching. Exposure to enterprise storage, backup solutions (Cohesity, Veeam), and data replication. Understanding of security frameworks, particularly in regulated environments. Experience supporting audit and disaster recovery activities. Certifications such as VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (desirable). Australian citizenship and eligibility for Defence security clearance are essential. Skills & Experience Strong infrastructure and systems administration expertise. Familiarity with audit, compliance, and DRP testing. Ability to evaluate and implement technology improvements. Problem-solving and communication strengths. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities across regional teams. What’s on Offer Salary $120,000 – $150,000 super. 24-month fixed term contract. 9-day fortnight option and flexible working arrangements.
