We're looking for a highly motivated and reliable Security Officer/Medic to join our team. In this fast-paced role, you'll be a critical part of our operation, acting as the first line of support for workplace injuries and ensuring the safety of our people and assets through active monitoring and emergency response. The Role Maintain a strong security presence and serve as the first point of contact for the company. Provide first aid treatment and triage injured workers, collaborating closely with the Injury Management Team. Monitor and respond to emergency incidents and automatic fire panel alarms. Coordinate evacuations and liaise with external emergency agencies when needed. Control access to the site for employees, visitors, and contractors. Monitor CCTV, security systems, gate access, and plant/process failure alarms. Conduct security patrols and ensure the protection of company assets, including monitoring carcase chillers. Work a 12-hour shift roster (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off). What Makes You A Great Fit Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid certification. Strong customer service and communication skills—approachable with the ability to write and record details accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems. Valid C-class driver’s licence. Willingness to obtain Q Fever vaccination (if not already vaccinated). Current National Police Clearance. Previous experience in first aid, life-saving, sports training, or sports strapping is highly regarded. Accreditation in Collecting Pathology Specimens (Alcohol and Drugs) is advantageous. What’s in it for you?
