About the mine - Gregory Open cut An exciting opportunity now exists at Gregory open-cut operation for a passionate experienced Advanced Operator who is now looking to further advance their Trainor/Assessor skills. Located approximately thirty minutes drive north of Emerald, Gregory is one of Queensland's most iconic coal operations in the region. In conjunction with the Mining team, Sojitz Health, Safety, Training and Wellbeing team and other business units, this role will provide support for the implementation of the Group Training Standard while facilitating the delivery and review of the Site(s) Training Schemes. In addition, you will coordinate all training activities for employees and subcontractors as required and maintain the sites compliance and operational capabilities through development, implementation and review of TNA’s. Key Responsibilities: Day-to-day function duties as required by the SHMS, direction of the HSTW Manager or as needed to address operational priorities across site Maintain good working relationships and provide leadership with all site personnel to achieve effective communication and enhance coordination regarding training matters Foster an environment of open communication with site personnel, where feedback and queries are encouraged Maintain compliance with site policies and procedures at all times Ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously as required Provide proficiency training at all Sojitz sites & identify training needs with recommendations made to relevant departments Develop and facilitate proficiency training system and Continuous Improvement Programs, and conduct regular audits of sites Training Schemes and associated systems Ensure accurate LMS records Support, mentor and assess Crew Trainer/Assessors Facilitate New to Industry education package About you The successful candidate will have the following: Formal Training Qualifications (minimum of Cert IV) RII Excavator, Loader, Dozer, Grader, Water Truck, Haul Truck RIIRIS301A Apply Risk Management Process RIIOHS301A Conduct Safety and Health Investigation RIICOM301A Communicate Information Proven experience in a Mining environment Understanding of and use of Learning Management Systems such as Litmos or others Extensive knowledge and understanding of Nationally Recognised Core Competency packages Strong stakeholder management skills to develop productive working relationships across the organisation Highly developed and demonstrated problem-solving, conflict resolution and time management skills What Sojitz can offer you: Competitive salary package inclusive of housing allowance A family-friendly culture from the CEO down Salary Packaging options available – Remote Area Benefits Company supplied transport to and from site Please click the link below to apply.
